Vildan Bayram
Vildan started her PhD studies in School of Materials under the supervision of Prof. Ian Kinloch and Dr. Suelen Barg in September 2015. She is a chemistry graduate from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey and she has a Materials Science and Engineering master’s degree from Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey. In her PhD study, she aims to build three dimensional hierarchical structures based on exfoliated MXene sheets with a possible application on supercapacitors. Mufeng Liu
Mufeng is from China. He obtained his BSc from East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai majoring Polymer Science Materials and Engineering in 2012, then in 2015 obtained his Master degree in the University of Manchester doing the same major. He is currently a PhD student under the supervision of Professor Robert Young and Professor Ian Kinloch focusing on Nanocomposites Reinforced by 2D Materials. Desen Zeng
Desen obtained a MEng in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield, UK in 2015. He then started his PhD in the Advanced Nanomaterials group in The University of Manchester working on the development of graphene paints and coatings in collaboration with Hempel A/S.

Martin Jordanov
Martin obtained a BSc Hons in Nanotechnology from the University of Leeds and a MPhil in Nanotechnology Enterprise from the University of Cambridge. He then worked as a consultant and later business development manager for Cientifica in the UK. Gabriel Casano Carnicer
Gabriel grew up in Spain before moving to Britain to complete his secondary studies. He stayed for university and received his MEng in Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey in 2014. He joined the Graphene NOWNANO CDT in September 2014. In 2015 he started his PhD project under the supervision of Prof. Brian Derby and Prof. Ian Kinloch. Wisit Hirunpinyopas
Wisit obtained his Undergraduate and Master degrees in Chemistry from Kasetsart University, Thailand in 2013. He got PhD scholarship from Development and Promotion of Science and Technology Talents Project (DPST), supported by Ministry of Education, Thailand. Jason Wild
Jason obtained his BSc in Materials Science & Engineering at The University of Manchester in 2015 before continuing his studies onto postgraduate research. He started his PhD in 2015 as part of the EPSRC Materials for Demanding Environments Centre for Doctoral Training programme under the supervision of Professors Philip Withers and Robert Young. Fei Lin
Fei Lin obtained his BEng degree in Materials Processing and Control Engineering from Northwestern Polytecnical University (China) in June 2014 and his MEng degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Manchester in June 2015 (3+2 Collaborative Program). He then started his PhD in September 2015 supervised by Prof. Ian Kinloch and Prof. Robert Young. He is currently investigating the microstructure and mechanical properties of Graphene Reinforced Metal Matrix Composites, for aircrafts and automobiles.
